How do you know when you've become too obsessed with your dog?
My dog is a three year old yellow lab and she is crazy beautiful. I like falling asleep on her and spoiling her and she loves the attention and she loves me back. Sometimes she'll get tired of me and get up and sleep somewhere else which i understand but am i going nuts?
Is this normal that i call her silly names like Chubby or Baby and treat her like my child? I just want to make sure that i'm not hurting her in some way like making her hate me
Thanks!
I don't actually clothe her or treat her like a human I just love being around her frequently

As previously stated, there is no issue with most of what you're doing.
Treating your dog like a child however is wrong. You don't do the dog any favours. It needs to be treated like a dog and it needs to have its doggy needs met.
Make sure the dog gets enough exercise, training, socialization, mental stimulation. You don't want to have a spoiled dog that misbehaves.

This cannot be a serious question...
I really don't see the problem.. My dogs sleep on the couch with me sometimes, they get called weird names, like fat-fat or legs sometimes. No big deal really...all my dogs have a weird nickname.
Spoiling? Not usually a good thing. Treating a dog like a child? Not a good thing. Its a dog, not a human baby and should be treated as such...to an extent.

"How do you know when you've become too obsessed with your dog?" answer: "and treat her like my child" < Ding ding. We have a winner.
she is not your child. She never will be. just like she will never "love" you like you love her. Spoiling her doesn't make her love you nor do it make her respect you as her owner.
However you aren't completely off in the deep end yet. That only comes when your obsession with your dog has gotten to the point you have little to know friends any more because a relationship with an animal has become more important than interactions with your peers and those who actually can love.
