Let's just say that it seems to us that some of the history taught in the USA is total bull sh!t. But it's a good propaganda tool to boost American ego.

LMAO. The British achieved their goal of repelling the American invasion of Canada and the Americans lost far more troops. The Americans were nearly bankrupt and as the war was over in Europe the Americans were afraid they would feel the full force of the British military. If that's an American victory, keep living in your American dream world.

One reads (perhaps apocryphal) tales of German closely becoming the American language instead of English. That leaves me wondering if the American involvement in WWI on the side of Great Britain would ever have happened?

Especially when knowing the outrage in America against British harassment of American merchant shipping before 'our' entry into that war - on the wrong side in my opinion.

First off, in the war for independence, the British WERE kicking you about until the French decided to help. WIthout French arms shipments and troop support in the closing battles, that "rebellion" would have failed.

The British then backed off in order to persue war with France. That's the reason we decided to just give up on the states.

The two world wars, oh yes it was lovely that you decided to help. notice how America refused until they were personally attacked? Whilst we were fighting for freedom, the Americans only joined in for revenge. First for the Lusitania, then for Pearl Harbour.

To be honest, I've never been that interested in american history or american related stuff. The stuff you've put about the world wars sounds right though.

The trouble with American history is that it written by American, for Americans with scant regard for the truth.

Most Brits don't care about American history.
