Can you advise me about buying a television?

I live in London and in April 2012 our analogue signal gets switched off. So I need to buy a new telly. I don't want a set top box, my analogue telly is 8 years old. What can I buy for £500? Can I get something that allows me wirely internet access too? What should I be looking for?

Not a Samsung, they arent very good - bad picture, especially if their is a very dark scene in what you're watching. Try a panasonic, lg, or sony but it depends on how many inches you want the screen to be too? You should of course look for symbol DTV (digital tv) but I would think most TVs now will have this.

when buying tv's there is only 4 brands worth buying

pioneer (even though they stopped making tv's over 2 years ago they are still the best, thats how good they are)

panasonic (they bought over the pioneer technology)

    samsung

    sony

if you can afford them here is the next best companies

    toshiba

    phillips

    sharp

and even lg (lucky goldstar before they changed their name but that is because they are better than the next group but only just)

do NOT buy these brand of tv's

    technika

    stores own brand

    non branded tv's
