Does anyone else in the peri menopause get this?
Each month just before my period, I start to ache all over, from my neck to my ankles. It's muscular pain that is helped by hot baths or massage. Anyone else experienced this?

2 AnswersInfectious Diseases7 years agoI've just been refused a credit card although my credit rating is classed as 'good'. Suggestions why?
The only negative in my Experian report is that I haven't paid off any credit agreements (in fact I have, but it's not listed). Should I apply to a different lender, or for a different deal with the same lender.
4 AnswersCredit7 years agoMy digital camera has died. Should I spend £100 on a new one, or put the money towards an iPhone 5 instead?
The question is really, what sort of resolution pix do you get from an iPhone 5? My camera cost £50 when I bought it half price 10 years ago, but I am wondering if an iPhone would simply replace both camera and my not very good Android phone?
5 AnswersCameras7 years agoAsk toolbar keeps trying to install itself with software updates. Could this be Malware?
When Java updates itself on my laptop it always asks me if I want to install the Ask toolbar. Similarly with my Norton updates. A friend has suggested this is a sign of malware - is it? I thought Norton was supposed to stop problems like that!
And what do I do about it. The same friend suggests Spyhunter or similar but I understand it's expensive.
Thanks for any advice.

2 AnswersMobile Phones & Plans8 years agoHow do I stop one of the local cats from peeing outside my back door?
It's become a real problem because I usually hang my washing out there. Now this cat (which has fought my own cats into submission, they won't go out when it's there) is peeing on the patio, the washing etc and there's a permanent smell till it rains. Then the accursed animal comes round and pees again. Help!
9 AnswersCats8 years agoIs there any simple way of extracting a twiddly bit of music from the middle of a track and make it a ringtone?
I love the bit of saxophone from 'Reasons to be cheeful' by Ian Dury and the Blockheads and want it as my ringtone. Can this be done?

I live in the UK. I need to get a new condensing boiler put in to replace my current combi. One person has told me that I will need to get 15mm piping replaced with a wider type. The other says he doesn't think I do. What's the actual legal requirement please?
9 AnswersMaintenance & Repairs8 years agoCan someone advise me about DVD players please?

2 AnswersHome Theatre8 years agoCan someone advise me about hacked email accounts?
someone I know alerted me to her email account having been hacked into and warned me not to open emails from her. So I deleted the warning email and of course hotmail opened the next email - the bogus one - automatically. I've changed the password and deleted every single sent, deleted, inbox, junk email from the account. However I am jobhunting at the moment so I am getting alerts from sites that have my cv on all the time. Do I need to stop all these?
2 AnswersSecurity9 years agoCan you advise me about getting broadband?
I don't want digital telly, I just want internet access at home (haven't got it at the moment). So what are the pitfalls and what is important? I have a landline and phone already. Would be interested to hear your recommendations.

10 AnswersLaptops & Notebooks9 years agoCan someone advise me about Trojans?
I was on the net in an internet cafe. Had checked my email account and opened two emails from companies that I'd asked for quotes on something. Logged out of the account and was doing something else when I got a message saying the net cafe's firewall had detected a trojan. I have changed the password on the email account and also notified the owner of the net cafe, of course. Do I need to do anything else? The attachments I opened were just word docs, so I assume they didn't have the trojan attached to them.
4 AnswersSecurity9 years agoCan you advise me about buying a television?
I live in London and in April 2012 our analogue signal gets switched off. So I need to buy a new telly. I don't want a set top box, my analogue telly is 8 years old. What can I buy for £500? Can I get something that allows me wirely internet access too? What should I be looking for?
3 AnswersTVs10 years agoAnyone know anything about party wall surveyors in the UK?
a company has bought the flat next door to mine, and served me (leaseholder) with a party wall notice. My freeholder has appointed a surveyor and invited me to appoint the same surveyor if I wanted to. This I have done. However I wanted the surveyor - in addition to this - to give advice on the chances of opposing the development as. I asked for him to quote on doing so. He says this is beyond his remit. Is he assuming that my interests and the freeholders will be at variance? Or what?
