How do I remove a DVD that is stuck in my Dell laptop?
Stupidly I pushed it in although it was sticking. Now it won't eject.
Unfortunately it hasn't got the pinhole thing. further suggestion?

First, eject button from the computer
start > computer > drive (right click drive letter, and select eject from the menu)
Second, locate the small hole on the drive and stick something in it (hopefully a pin and not something silly) and try to use that, emergency eject hole.
Third, unplug the PC, take out the drive, manually open it. Note: this may seriously damage the drive no matter how carefully you take it apart and put it back together. DVD drives are only like 20$ though.

Usually there is a very tiny hole on the DVD drive door. By using something like a needle to push straight in, it will most often pop the drive out (turn off computer first naturally). This is specifically meant to be used for that purpose (ie> disk stuck in drive). If that fails, the disk may be lodge off the tray and may need to be taken out by a tech.

There should be a pin sized hole on the drive. Stick straightened out paper clip in that hole and push until the drive ejects.
Edit: Wow, Samuel and I typed nearly the same exact answer. Not copying ya, bro. It was just coincidence!

If the eject on the computer wont do it you can try a paperclip in the little hole on the side of the CD port, may need to pull it a little if its really stuck. But paperclip needs to press and release the mech first.

There should be a pin size whole where you can stick a pin or needle through and eject it or take it apart and take the cd out by hand

try to look for the small circular hole near the eject button, then use the edge of the paper clip to poke it or insert it. push it until the dvd reader ejects the dvd itself. hope it helps.

If you look on the side next to the door that opens, (the place where you place the cd and closes) well, there should be a little hole on the door, get a safety needle/pin and put it in the hole the door should open manualy from it.
