Does anyone know of good free software for editing and publishing a website?

Or alternatively good software that doesn't cost ££££££££££££££££? I mean I can afford £50 or so but not £200. NB I already know I have to pay about £20 to register a domain name etc, I just want software that will do more than publish a blog. I want my site to look pretty dam snazzy.

Update:

Hi Morgan, can you direct me to some website that have been published using it please? I'd like to see how they look.

Update 2:

Afraid webnode won't do what I want, I need to be able to set up a website that people can visit and add their own blogs and comments to.

    I use webnode myself

It's completely free, except for a popular domain name (.com, . net, .co.UK etc.)
