There is no reason not to destroy the Planet Earth. In terms of the universe, this event would be no more than the equivalent of squashing an annoying mosquito, if even that. So, Destroy away!

Well, ... ask yourself this ... what are the reasons for "not sawing off a tree limb that you're sitting on?" Get it? that's why you don't don't want to destroy the Earth. It's all we've got and to-date (despite what you hear on TV) we have not discovered anything better and don't have the technology to get there if we did.
