Closing date scheduled, have a question?

Does having a closing date scheduled mean that we have been approved for the mortgage? Just making sure.

no not at all. You can bet your lender will be verifying things morning of closing. It is common for them to verify your employment again hours prior to closing. Your loan is up in the air until the closing is complete. They may even run a credit check at last minute also to make sure you have not taken out additional loans since your mortgage application was done.

You simply have an appointment with the individual performing the closing. They are unrelated to your lender.
