Atheists, why do you want to prove that there is no God? And religious people, to prove that there is God?

Human nature. We will hammer a issue to death, often disregarding all facts or valid points that don't agree with our point of view. We want to be right at all cost and make everyone else agree.

Sad isn't it? We can't be happy for each other and just get on with the business of living.

I do not wish to prove anything. Everyone has their beliefs, and that's good enough for me. If people want to keep thinking there is a god, by all means, they can do so. I won't stop them, just like I won't stop a five year old from thinking Santa exists. I'm not comparing God to Santa, I'm just saying that there is no real reason to tell them otherwise.

    That's up to individuals.

    Spirituality is ineffable between people.

Two of the 4 Veda's, dated 1500 BCE translated from Sanskrit to Tamil by Ramana Maharshi “Tat Tvam Asi” in English is “That Thou Art”, and Prajnanam Brahma (Consciousness is Brahman), Pantheism!

Over 1500 years later Jesus say's, “I and My Farther are One”. Also Luke 17-21 The kingdom of God within you.

There is no greater mystery than this; that being the reality we seek to gain reality.

    Sri Ramana Maharshi (December 30, 1879 – April 14, 1950)

The Self is God. "I AM" is God.

Know that you are the perfect shining light, which not only makes the

existence of God's kingdom possible, but also allows it to be seen as some

    wonderful heaven.

    Sri Ramana Maharshi (December 30, 1879 – April 14, 1950)

Asking me WHY I "want" to prove anything presumes that I in fact DO want to prove it. For you to know that, I would have had to have told you that I wanted to prove it. But I didn't. And I don't. So, since your question is based on a false premise to begin with, it is utter nonsense. Go slap yourself upside the head.

I don't want to prove there is no God, I just feel that people would be much better off less deluded. I wish the best for believers and non-believers alike.

I don't feel a need to prove anything..... I feel a need to keep the religious from forcing their views on everyone. I feel the need to keep creationism out of public schools. And I feel the need to make sure the bible is not legislated. I feel the need to stop organizations like ALL from passing horrendous laws like the personhood amendments they keep trying to get passed in too many states.... If these people feel the need to force their religion on everyone then I feel they have some proving to do.

a true Atheist knows that you cannot prove or disprove the existence of God. We can however, and want to, prove the Bible is incorrect.. which we have and it falls of deaf ears.

Christians are keen in proving their God through use of the Bible, we just say that the Bible is a sham and should be ignored.

I don't want to "prove" any such thing. And I see no reason to do so.

It's really simple: humans have made thousands of claims about magical gods existing. Not a one of those claims has any evidence of any kind to show it's valid, so the claims are worthless. There's no evidence of any kind any "god" exists, so no reason to "believe" in one.

    Peace.

There is no need to prove 'no god' just as there is no need to prove there is 'no unicorns', 'no Bigfoot', etc. The burden of proof is on those who claim there is a god or unicorns or Bigfoot, etc.
