How can I overclock my CPU?

Hi, I have a gateway laptop. It has a intel core tm i5-2430M processor that runs at 2.4GHz and thats fine I know, but I would like to overclock to 2.8GHz maybe 3. When i go to my BIOS settings it will NOT let me go into the cpu area to change anything. I have called gateway for a little support and they will overclock it for me for a simple fee of $149.99 yeah right. Basically i am either doing something or forgeting to do something before I go into the BIOS area. I am not sure; so if there is anybody looking to answer a good question tonight please help me out :)

Thanks a lot in advance.

They lock that in the BIOS of laptops for a reason: laptops already have a painfully hard time cooling the parts, so what do you think will happen if you overclock it? It wouldn't be able to keep up with the extra heat, which would cause overheating of your components. You don't want to be overclocking a laptop unless it's a special one designed for overclocking with very good cooling.
