Do you believe it is possible for an irreligious society to prosper?
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/religion/5603096/T... (in the UK)
Okay, maybe the UK isn't doing so hot right now. But relative to most places on Earth the standard of living is fairly high. Or is it only a matter of time before God gives them what they have coming to them?
Explain away the tsunami then (and babble on about that plate tectonics hoopla)
Okay, well prospering in that most people have more than enough to eat and can afford to spend money on things other than necessities.

.
It depends on what is behind the non-religion.
If it's a communist dictatorship, like North Korea, it is not likely to prosper.
In fact, North Korea, is one of the most non-prosperous places on the face of the planet.

Japan's doing pretty well (economically), and it has one of the highest concentrations of nonreligious people on Earth.
EDIT: Wow. Did you really just say that? I thought you were a reasonable person. Oh well. Tell you what; if you don't accept plate tectonics as the truth, why don't we drop you in a volcano and let you see it up close? Seriously, use some brainpower before you decide to post things.

Yes. It's possible for an irreligious society to prosper. But it has nothing to do with God. It's what the government and the private sector does that makes a nation prosper.

You would need to define "prosper" and if you limit it solely to financial or not. (which is hardly accurate to do so in the true sense of the word.)

You are confusing religion with economics and geographic fortuity.
