The whole situation is NEVER confusing.
The premise that there even IS a situation concludes there are facts that brought the situation about.
Therefore, to come to a conclusion, the basis we should use to make our decisions is an examination of the facts.
That is, except if one is a theist. To a theist, an examination of the facts would lead to an entirely different answer than the pre-conceived conclusion, and is to be avoided at all cost.

What you just described seems like life in general to me. We don't know where we're going and we don't even know where we've been.
Look at our leaders; they're faking it; they're not fit to lead. How did they get there?
