lost internet explorer?

My friend was using his laptop, for some reason the turned his internet explorer off and now when he tries to get online he can't.. Lost internet explorer and can not find it .. How can he get it back ?

Update:

He was trying to install lemon wire which suggested to disable internet explorer so he disabled it but now can not get on it. it just says can not display internet explorer..... Help ?

OK,, He got it back.. He just restored it from yesterday.. He tried that and it didn't work the fiirst 2 times, thats why I asked the question but the third try worked.. Thanks for answering guys..
