Why doesnt wwe count the ECW championship as a world title?
Cos in a PPV in 2010 I think it was Night of Champions, Cole said Kane hasnt had a world title in a decade.

Mr McMahon is recognised as a 2 time World champion having held the WW(F)E title and the ECW title.
WWE stopped refering to the title as a world title when they decided to phase ECW out slowly following its December to Dismember PPV... WWE had a contract with Si-Fy to show ECW and when that contract was up, WWE pulled the plug.
Basically, Vince McMahon's ego wouldn't allow him to think of himself failing a world title brand.
Of course, ECW wasn't his creation so he wasn't really interested in it anyway.
Him winning the ECW title was a obvious ego trip and him ramming it in the certain people's faces that he owns ECW.
The title was no longer referred to as a world title AFTER Vince dropped the title to Bobby Lashley,

The reason is because it hasn't been created or exhibit to become a world title.
It's never been a top tier world championship, in my opinion. There's no argument that guys like Shane Douglas were never in the same league as Steve Austin and Sting, who were winning the only things I'd consider a "real" world title at that point. However, ECW then was the third promotion, and I'd say they had the third most important title in wrestling in north America, guys like Raven were probably more popular than the midcard champions elsewhere, and at least on the same level.
In the WWE era, the title was at the same level. RVD, Big Show and Lashley were all above the midcarders, but none of them were the true stars of the company. The same would have been true for Chris Benoit, and even Morrison and Punk, thanks to previous IC reigns and being the face of the young ECW stars respectively could be seen if not on the same level as the previous champs, at least as midcarders. Christian, Kane, Mark Henry and Matt Hardy could also be seen as straight up midcarders, but Swagger and Chavo were probably beneath that, and Dreamer certainly was.
So, I'd say that the ECW championship was never a World title, but from 1992 to 2007 it was somewhere above a midcard title, but then it fell to that level.

Because WWE considered the ECW or as I like to call it WWECW show the Jobbers developmental territory throwing some legitamate veterans on the show so the nobody wrestlers felt good about where they were and slapping a crappy looking title belt to make the veterans feel like they were on a legitamate WWE brand.
The REAL ECW world title died along with the true ECW in 2001
And the only good things that came from the reboot of ECW was
*CM Punk
*ECW One Night Stand 2005 & 2006
*Rod Van Dam finally winning the WWE championship
*Christian's WWE Return

it's semantics and selective counting depending on how they want to brag some one up
-- it counts for Show -- because they like to point out he was first (only?) WCW, WWE & ECW champion
-- "A" vs "The" -- most belt counts (Flair, HHH, Edge) they count ALL world Titles regardless of company or Brand but recently they started splitting hairs on Cena's Reigns as he just hit 12 total, but with 10 of them being 'Spinner' and 2 being World they will often use the 10 and speciify WWE Championships
-- even in SvR11 -- one of Cole's soundbites is mentioning Edge has "50 Championships" -- adding up every title he's ever held (WWE, WHC, Tag, IC, HC, Euro, etc.)
-- Kane is one of the few guys on the main Roster to have had a 'world title' pre-brand split (which at the time was fully called the "WWE World Heavyweight Championship" or some such mouth full)
-- but then you look at Christian and as far as I know he's only credited w/ his 2 WHC runs on SD! this year -- perhaps if he ever gets the WWE they'll pad his resume by counting all of them -- but with ECW deactivated and part of the point of his feud with Orton and heel turn being that 'he was robbed of his first championship"

Because ECW Was A Small Brand That Not As Many People Watched Like Smackdown And Raw

It's a shame to say, but it's because Vince McMahon can pretty much rewrite wrestling history if he wants. The ECW World title was actually a spin off of the NWA World title. Was it technically a "World" title remains up for debate.

i will see Matt Hardy prevailing a shot on the WWE identify, after which prevailing it. As with Jack Swagger, how in the international did he get the ECW identify in the 1st place!? (i comprehend you suggested the ECW identify would not count variety; yet i'm only asserting)
