advice on wherever to get a other budgie?
I have a male budgie and his names Lenny hes about 10 years old,
and i was wondering wherever it would be okay to put another male with him,
hes had another male in the same cage with him before but that was around 4-5 years ago, and also Lenny has this toy in his cage with a mirror and he loves it constantly chirping in it, and trying to groom it lol.
so i was wondering because of his age, would it be okay for him to have another budgie sharing his cage? or may it upset him and they fight?
Thanks!

If Lenny's okay wih being alone, why risk it?? If you have your heart set on getting him a partner...My suggestion to you is to get the other budgie and seperate them into two cages. Put them side by side and let them adjust to one another. After a week or two weeks, if they seem to be okay with each other, try to put them together. There's really no way to tell if your current budgie will be okay with it or not until you try it out. Budgies do fairly well with partners so it should be okay. However, think the new partner through. He may be very happy being on his own.

Get him a friend. Parakeets are flock birds and they enjoy company. There is absolutely no reason for a fight. Rather they would enjoy each other. He will love a real friend rather than a reflection.
