My cat has dermatitus. Seems she's allergic to corn. Can someone suggest?

A healthy cat food that she might be able to tolerate? Right now I'm feeding her Paul Newman's organic food for adult cats, but she continually scratches. She's had dermatitus with every food I've fed her. Anyone out there know of something better?

Update:

I already KNOW to read the labels. That's how I learned that pretty much every bag in the supermarket has corn as one of the first three ingredients. I was scandalized when I learned that. Cats are not vegetarians! :-) Seems like you have to be just as hyper-vigilant with pet food as you do with people food with reading the label. Thanks for all of the answers. I'll just have to keep searching, I guess...

Look for grain free foods for her, more expensive but they are closer to a natural diet. Give it a few weeks to see if it helps. You could also try a supplement for her skin, such as omega 3 and 6

You will need to read the labels and find food w/o corn. However, she may be allergic to chicken or fish. This will make it harder. I would take her to the vet to rule out as much as you can. If need be there is a Rabbit based food for those allergic to chicken/fish. I'm not sure if its put out by Wellness or Blue Buffalo, but I've seen it in the stores.

You have to check the ingredients list and find food without corn.

Source(s): I have a cat with celiac disease, and I have to do this every time I buy cat food.

Canned Wellness. Try either the chicken or the turkey. Or both.

Orijen is a great, grain-free, high-protein kibble. Blue Buffalo Wilderness is a good one too. (Of course, I'm assuming you mean dry foods.)
