A little about me.
Does anyone know the name of a book about:?
The book begins with a young woman, Martha, giving birth to a baby boy in the basement of the Salvation Army, where she lives and works.
I read the book, and want to read it again, but can't remember the name of the book, or the author's name.

2 AnswersBooks & Authors5 years agoHow to get rid of a program on my computer..?
My son downloaded ITunes onto my computer, and with ITunes came some unwanted "guests". The search engine I had chosen to use was Firefox. When ITunes was downloaded it brought "Bing" with it, and also, "Conduit search". I've gone to "Add and Remove Programs" but they don't even show up there. How can I clean those things off my computer?
3 AnswersSecurity8 years agoMy garden looks bedraggled...?
I live in the South. My garden looks pitiful. What do the rest of you Southerners do in the garden to make it pretty at this time of the year? Which flowers do you plant right about now? Do you plant grasses, or a combination? Help!

A healthy cat food that she might be able to tolerate? Right now I'm feeding her Paul Newman's organic food for adult cats, but she continually scratches. She's had dermatitus with every food I've fed her. Anyone out there know of something better?
5 AnswersCats10 years agoI'd like to visit New York City...?
I want to visit the memorial at Ground Zero, but I also want to see the Museum of Modern Art. How far will I need to travel to see each of them? How many miles between? And.. are there affordable accommodations within the area where I could maybe walk to each place. I'd also love to see the Empire State Building. Where is a clean, affordable, place to stay that I might be centrally located? And how much should I expect to pay for accommodations, and to see those three tourist stops?
Thanks to anyone who is willing to give me some guidance.
5 AnswersNew York City10 years agoDo I need a new mouse?
I have very little control over my computer mouse. It skips all over the page, and sometimes disappears from off the page altogether. Sometimes the page scrolls all the way to the bottom, of it's own volition. This mouse is about three or four years old. I took it apart and cleaned it really well, but that made no difference. It still has a mind of it's own. What's wrong? Do I need to buy a new mouse?
3 AnswersAdd-ons10 years agoIs it just me, or are the questions on YA?
getting more and more ignorant? I'm fast losing patience with the stupidity of some questions, AND with the immaturity exhibited here, and with the long diatribes about stupid crap that no one cares about except the asker. Am I alone? Or do you feel the same way?
6 AnswersPolls & Surveys10 years agoWho ever thought it was a good idea to design...?
women's clothing with huge gaudy flowers on the front??? I'm a small woman, and this style would look hideous on me. It would only look okay on a 6-foot tall woman, and then it's only questionable... Just goes to prove my theory that f****ts design women's clothing, and want us to look as awful as we possibly can. I won't be wearing this. Does ANYONE think this design is attractive, or even acceptable?

4 AnswersOther - Cultures & Groups1 decade agoWhat's up with my email?
My email program was sending out messages to everyone in my address book with a link to some web page that I was not familiar with. It was doing this without my knowledge or permission. So, to fix the problem I deleted everyone in my address book thinking that would stop it.
Now I keep getting lots and lots of messages saying the email I sent (I haven't sent any emails) were not deliverable.
Do any of you know what's happening to my email? And.. how do I fix it? I've run my anti-virus program but it doesn't find anything wrong.
What gives?

8 AnswersGender Studies1 decade agoMy cat has dermatitus,,,?
and doesn't like the food I'm feeding her. I've recently changed her food to one I get at the pet store that does not contain cornmeal as the main ingredient. She's been eating this food for about two weeks now, but doesn't eat it very well, and is still itching, and now has looser stools. She doesn't have diarrhea, but her poop is looser than it should be. What can I feed her that she'll enjoy, and that will be healthy for her? She's 8 years old, and is an inside cat. I'll consider all honest suggestions, but don't try to sell me anything...
