What type of pellets are best for breaking stuff?

there was this one time I nearly got hit by a rebounding pellet. I broke a wine glass the day before, the stem was too fragile and accidentally snapped it. I decided to shoot it for fun, at the range of 12 yards (backyard size) the first 2 shots bounced off the glass. the third bounced off the glass and flew about 2 inches to the left of my left ear. the pellets didn't even crack the glass, but it did leave marks.

later I had a BB bound off a book and hit me just above the eyelid, I stopped shooting airguns entirely.

now when I break stuff by shooting I use real guns.... bullets don't bounce unless you did something really stupid. you're more likely to be hit with bits of the target than the bullet. like that one time for a photo shoot i blasted a bottle of cheap wine with a 20 gauge slug-- blasted with bits of glass because I was too close. I was only about 10 feet away. yeah, that was really stupid.

Someone makes a pellet with a small steel ball in the tip. I got some at Walmart at some point. Lead pellets tend to flatten and bounce off glass bottles, no fun. These steel tippers shatter the bottle with the first shot. You could also just switch to BBs, cheap - o
