Trouble with the radio in my car?

I drive a '93 Altima GXE. When I first got the car back in May, the radio worked fine. Within the past few months, the radio has been having trouble. Sometimes it will play normally for 5 minutes, and others it will only play for one. The signal is still coming through, but every station gets terribly distorted and it sounds like a loud screeching sound. Any ideas on if it's the radio or if it's the car's antenna? Also, what would be a good reasonably priced fix that would allow me to keep my cassette player being I have a cassette adapter ipod. Thanks.

in case you have a valid deck (aftermarket equipment) it is going to shift to remind you to get rid of it and cover it so no person breaks in to take it. The clock ought to flow off, yet Chevy would have equipped in an ambient placing. try shutting down each little thing, remaining the door, and locking it. Then see despite if it continues to be lit (If it is not, then this is an ambient placing that for some reason only activated, or you by way of no potential observed it). If all else fails, disconnect the adverse terminal on the battery (adverse!!!) and which will reset each little thing. in case you do disconnect, the vehicle would run somewhat diverse because of the fact the european has been reset, so it is going to would desire to do not forget each and all of the concepts. be confident that if there's a radio code, which you comprehend it, because of the fact the radio would lock while the battery is disconnected. If all else fails, and that ^ fails additionally, only have a community mechanic examine it out, inspections are often unfastened at AAMCO. Edit: To the guy who responded till now me, if the fuses have been blown, there would be no potential, if the wires have been disconnected, shorted, or sheared, there would be no potential.
