Christians, do you ever stop and wonder that what you believe in sounds like such nonsense?

1 Corinthians 1:18

[ Christ the Power and Wisdom of God ] For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.

YES!

That's what is so remarkable about it. I've not always been a Christian. For 24 years of my life I wasn't a Christian. I wasn't raised a Christian either. None of two sets of parents were Christian, and my adopted dad used to speak against it.

Yet I see that it didn't make much sense to me until I was baptized in His Spirit. There was no priest or church, no one else was with me, I just had a choice; either start trusting in God through Christ, or commit suicide.

It took a long time, but I learned. I didn't just learn, I took it to heart. And it's not the modern traditional Christianity that I learned, it's a Christianity that looks closely at the Gospel, and sees that most of modern Christianity has taken about 2000 years to pervert it's message. One reason why it doesn't make sense to some people is because the typical Christian isn't saying it right. Therefore, even I, a Bisexual Christian, is saved.

Interesting point I'm not christian i'd like to add the bible was written by men in a time of discrimination againsnt woman so it most likely is horribly revised to suit the time period ever read the passage in the king James bible that say a man who lost his member won't enter into the congreation of the lord and the passage that says you to marry ur rapist

If they do they become atheists. Some will rationalize however and make inane monkey men references which is not as realistic and a talking snake I suppose

One does is not capable of questioning,

And the other does not stop questioning.

1 Corinthians 1:20; 'Where is the wise man? Where is the scribe? Where is the debater of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world?'

God already said that the gospel sounds like foolishness to those who don't believe. But to me it is the power of God.

nonsense is determined by a persons perception and defintion of truth...which God in His love gave us free will to determine on our own what is the truth....did He sit back and not give and hints to His plans for His creation...no....He gave His Son to reveal the depth of His love the promise of peace in this place that is so full of hate and strife....so if its nonsense to you that the creator of the world offers a way that brings peace....thats your choice...but the truth is He is peace and this peace He gives to you.....with out any conditions....its an offer....so you might want to consider it....it will help you while you are here......†

It's funny how foreigners come to live in a country that created a safe heaven for humans to live based on our belief in nonsense.
