which one has better picture quality, d3000 or d3100?
hi, I'm planing to buy a nikon camera, i wanted the 3000 but i saw the 3100 had more mp, but what i wanted to ask is, is there really a huge difference in the picture quality? i know the 3100 also takes hd video but what i really want to know is if the 4 mp difference is really a big deal. Thanks!
PD: i dont really care about video i'm only interested on taking really good pictures so what's more important for me to know is if there's a big difference on quality based on those 4 mp's

Megapixels don't even affect sharpness, it's all marketing. Unless you print huge, but your monitor supports less than 1920 x 1080 which is 2 megapixels, so it cant even display more.
The D3100 has higher maximum ISO, less noise, live view and the video. It's definitely the best price/performance model out right now. But quality is of course the same, like on all DSLR cameras.
