This is going to sound like a funny question?
But i want to calm my boyfriends concerns about our 3 week old without having to call and ask the doctor this ridiculously funny question i already know will get laughs? Our baby boy has horrible smelling gas and he is worried because as he puts it he and daddy could have a contest and baby would win hands down. He is formula fed by the way if that helps. Is it normal? lol
He is on similac sensitive for fussiness and gas. We tried the soy and that just seemed to make it worse. It doesn't seem to bother him much. He's just stinky.

All those answers are true and he could also be getting gas from swallowing air while drinking out of his bottle. Try the formula that helps with gas, it could just be the formula your using.

He may be having a reaction to a milk protein. A friend's baby had this- and also had acid reflux from the problem. The mother stopped eating dairy products (she was breast-feeding) and the problem cleared up. You might talk to your doctor about a different formula.
