Could I survive from income as a street musician?

Sounds like such an adventure! I'm not sure how much you could make but if you get stuck along the way there are some great ways to travel without spending much if you don't mind working a bit here and there... helpx.net for example hooks you up with 'hosts' who will house and feed you in return for a few hours work a day...

If you are really talented you might be able to. Stand and observe street musicians where you are, and watch how much money they make in an hour. Then multiply by the number of hours there are in a day. Or give money to a street musician and see how much money is in the hat, case or whatever it is. Location is the most important thing, followed by talent. In many places you have to have a licence to perform.

If all you care about is food/drink, then probably.... you'd most likely make only a few euros a day (though not sure). So as long as you know what to look for food wise & know where some hostels are (since you will need to shower on occasion) it's possible (though not entirely probable)

if you dont have rent to pay for :) im sure there are things for homeless people to go to anyway so you should be ok but find this out first, also there are people who are called freegans who get clean packaged food out of stores bins, there are groups all over the world that do this. If your good at what you do then go for it but would you really be prepared to sleep outside every night?x
