Now how did THIS end up in the soap opera category...???

Anyway that's a lot of blood. Get rid of the carpet. Bury it with the body.

You must take some precautions when dealing with human blood. You should wear gloves when dealing with it. You have to try and get as much of the blood out as you can be either blotting it out or rinsing it away with a small extraction machine. The water should be cold to barely lukewarm. Take some hydrogen peroxide and lightly spray the blood spot with it. Get enough on to dampen the fibers. Once you have done that then blot some more. Really blot it good. Once the blood spot is not visible then take some warm water and rinse the spot thoroughly.
