Just got the bottom end done on my 06 ktm 85 sx and it is making this bad knocking sound?

Just got the bottom end done today and its making a bad knocking sound, it has no power and its just not running right im taking it back the guy who put it in tomro and i just wanna have an idea of what is wrong with it - anything is helpful

    Why did you have the bottom end rebuilt? What was wrong with the bike that caused you to take it in?

    It was not rebuilt correctly.

    A knocking sound could be that the crank bearing was replaced and not pressed back together correctly.

    What it sounds like you are explaining is a rod knock.

    There are many possible causes but why have the bottom end rebuilt? And why didn't you get a complete engine rebuild as is normally done?

    Obviously the sound is something that has been done wrong or something that was missed if the rebuild was done with the cost in mind. The guy who did the job should fix it right at no charge but it would be interesting as to what he found; if he is prepared to tell you...
