Why doesn't my girlfriend SMS or call me back even after one day?

To clarify: Many times, when I called my girlfriend, she didn't answer. I can accept the fact that she might not hear the phone or she's busy with something. What I find confusing is why didn't she call back within a reasonable amount of time...like after a few hours or before she goes to bed since she always checks her phone then?

On a related note, what is the reason of not replying (Or at the very least, acknowledge) to my SMS even allowing for a reasonable amount of time? I sometimes get the feeling that my SMS was totally ignored, or that my SMS is not really a high priority for her to answer.

Is this normal in a relationship? FYI, we've been steady for 6 months.

Some people just aren't very good at replying to messages. I happen to be one of those people. In my case, I read messages when I get them, but circumstances (like being in class, or the library) refrain me from responding immediately, and when I do have time, I tend to have forgotten what it was that I needed to do.

If her lack of response really bothers you, I'd suggest you speak with her. I'm sure she'll be able to either clarify WHY it takes her so long to respond, or come up with a system to respond more quickly.

yes :) my guy does that too :) and when I ask him about he says sorry but I was very busy the last 3 days with studying and work :) Give her some space and don't call anymore until she calls you back for at least a week. If she still hasn't called then try calling her again in a week and see what happens.

I'm guessing a SMS is a text message?

Anyways, just leave her. I had a girl who did the same ****, you'll be happier with someone who actually cares for you.
