What is quantum randomness?

i came across this and began to wonder.what does it actually mean?does it mean the subatomic particles dont follow any laws or does it just mean we are incapable of determining the future of a given state(though those particles follow some laws we are not aware of)?

random means it is a probability expression. there is no sure unique result if you were to perform the act multiple times. There is only a proportional likelihood for any given outcome.

Thus, one can only say the odds of a particular outcome for a given set of circumstances. there is no certain result, only one of two or more possible results and you cannot know which until the event happens. All that can be said is that if you performed the act enough times, you could identify a probability distribution in the results and thus predict the chance of a given result from a given act.

It isn't that we do not know the future, it is that we only know that it will be one of several possible futures. It isn't an absence of any knowledge of the outcome, it is simply an absence of certainty.
