Buying animals from craigslist?

Do you think it is safe? I have successfully bought and sold many items from craigslist over the years. With regards to a new puppy or kitten, is this reputable? What should I be wary of? Is it recommended?

I sell and buy rabbits off CraigsList. I find it very reputable, but there is always a rotten apple in the bunch. Always meet in a public place and if the animal is not what you were hoping for/or saw on the ad walk away. Most animals come with health guarantee certificates when you buy them from a breeder. But always when buying an animal it is always safe to take it to your vet and have it checked out. Especially if you have other animals, you don't want them to be carrying anything that could harm your pets.

    Hope this kinda helped! :)

I have gotten two of my cats and a puppy, but i did not buy them technically. My first cat was a kitten no one wanted so i got him, he was healthy and is a loving fat cat now. My other cat i took in that someone couldn't keep. He had bad fleas but i knew it already. She told me everything about him. And he is now healthy and loving. And my puppy i got on there she was going to be put down within a week if someone didn't want her, so someone was putting her up for the pound and now i have her and she is healthy. I would consider Not buying a dog or cat because the rehoming fees are not rehomeing fees but money you would sell if you were breeding. I would a animal that actually needs a good home and not the owner just wanting money!

good luck and home you find yourself a furry friend=]

All I know is that when I was trying to sell my cat and her kittens my ads got blocked. It said that it is illegal to sell/buy animals on craigslist. So I don't know maybe the rules are changed now. It was about 2 years ago.

Dont buy, adopt. Adoption is the right thing to do plus it is safe!
