my webcam keeps coming up with USB is not recgonized?

Update:

i've rebooted, unistalled the drivers. Plug into different ports

    did you remember to REinstall the device driver once you uninstalled it? also did you check the wires for any rips or tears? did you check to see if the device was not broken? did you remove any dust or grime from the usb? if you did all these things and the device still does not work... the product is broken.

    check all these factors and if it still does not work then return it.

    did you try restarting your computer? sometimes it works :)
