how can i connect my Xbox 360 to a wireless router and then connect it wirelessly to my wireless modem?

i have a wireless modem and a wireless router im wondering how i can connect them together with the Xbox. my modem can connect to the internet but can i use my router to connect the xbox 360 to the internet. and if i can please explain im very stupid....im terible with technology

    First of all, if your modem is wireless capable and is already connected to the internet, you don't really need to connect the router. You should be able to connect to the wireless network of the modem. If this is the case, the modem is acting as router as well as a modem.

    If however, your modem is really not a router as well, then connect the router to the modem with a Cat 5e Ethernet cable. Then setup the wireless on your router and connect to that wireless network with your 360.
