What would make good New Dad and New Mom gifts?
I'm going to be the doula (labor coach) for my best friend, and I want to get them each a little, simple, surprise gift as congratulations. I'm thinking about giving them both chocolate bars, but I don't know if that'll be too rough on the mom at that time.

Well, she probably won't feel like eating it straight away... but she might appreciate it later. A yummy smelling shower gel to use straight after for mum? Maybe the best thing you could do is take over as chief photographer to take some snaps of them with their baby.
It's tricky - everything else pales in comparison to a new baby!
