how long is the process to renew expired Canadian passport?

how long is the process to renew expired Canadian passport?

I have to go to states for a medical reason in about 4 weeks and I just realized that my passport is expired!!

help!

    Regular processing by mail takes 20 working days, in person at a Passport Canada office 10 working days.

    You haven't said how long ago it expired. IF it expired within the past 12 months you can renew it without going through the full application process with guarantors etc etc. IF it expired over 12 months ago, you have to stat from scratch.

    If you pay an extra fee you can have it rushed within 5-7 business days.
