subwoofer box for 1999 dodge ram ext cab?

I understand the issue of firing the sub down. When i fire my sub into the boot (trunk) my tailgate rattles even with deadening.My only real option is to point it in a different direction, however I also realise that I have to sacrifice in terms of performance. Not much though! But again its all relative to the sub, enclosure and cabin.

As for specific downward firing subs (boundary loading) you could try the JL ported basswedge

never face a sub woofer down the sound is not going to leave the en closer the right way.they make en closers that are made to fit your truck the right way,even if you have to buy shallow mount subs.go to eBay then car audio then sub woofer en closers.and take a look around it can't he rt.hope this helps.
