So President Obama will have no Christmas trees in the White House, instead they will be 'Holiday Trees'?

Apparently America is no longer a Christian country, instead it is a country of 'many faiths'. Don't know about you but that scares me, Christian or not.

So this is a hoax, as per the link to Snopes above.

Don't be scared of stuff people make up on the internet. And when it doubt, check snopes.com before you spread false rumors about politics, child abductions, computer viruses, Facebook shutting down, etc. :)

Why do we use a tree to celebrate Christmas in the first place? Evergreen trees don't grow in Bethlehem. The Christmas of today has nothing to do with Christianity. In 334 AD, Roman Emperor Constantine held the Council of Nicea. The Roman Empire was beginning to crumble. And the emperor knew he needed a religion to unite the Romans. He gathered the heads of all the Christian churches throughout the Empire in Nicea. He then had them construct an official christian bible and distribute it throughout the empire. This is the New Testament we have today.

December 25th wasn't the day Jesus was born. This day was celebrated long before Christianity appeared. December 25th is the first day after the Winter Solstice (the shortest day of the year) in which the days start to get longer. It marks the rebirth of the sun and the coming of Spring and Summer.

The story goes like this. The Sun (or Son) dies on December 21st and is dead for three days (Dec 22, Dec 23, Dec 24). On December 25th, the Sun (or Son) is reborn and brings life back to the world.

This is crazy!!!! Who does he think he is??.. Why would he take away the one thing that brings people together.. our one holiday when people rejoice and praise and have something to believe in, weather it be a CHRISTmas tree or a wreath, or presents or good food.. Why take away the one this country has left.. so it seems. Dear Mr Obama... Why? There are more then just Muslim's in this country.. this is the USA... this is where we celebrate CHRISTMAS, along with the 4th of July and Presidents day and everything else that helps bring us closer as a nation... Your not God... dont act like it... This is not your world.... I as a US citizen will not lose faith, I dont care what you say... obiously you should be President of another country... One where you can control even the religious spirit of CHRISTmas... .

A Christmas Tree is a Christmas Tree, is a Christmas Tree, is a Christmas Tree! interior the seventh century a monk from Crediton, Devonshire, went to Germany to instruct the notice of God. Legend has it that he used the triangular shape of the Fir Tree to describe the Holy Trinity of God the daddy, Son and Holy Spirit.

I don't care what Obama calls his tree. Christians celebrate the birth of Jesus, not a tree.

He'll probably have a little green mosque to decorate. He'll put lights and glitter on it. ..Oh ..with the moon on the top, instead of our usual star.

I bet the White House recognises Hanukkah though.

It was Apr 15 2009 when President Barack HUSSEIN Obama, who was born and raised as a muslim, declared "America not a Christian nation", this after being sworn in on a Christian Bible.
