When you convert pdf to epub does it keep images and diagrams?

Im thinking about getting an ereader to read my pdf files on but after doing research it looks like ereaders are not good at reading pdf files unless it is converted into epud. When you convert pdfs into epud does it keep the images, diagrams, graphs and all that stuff that is orginally on a pdf file? Im considering the nook simple touch, kinle DX, or kindle 3? Does anybody have any suggestions on a good ereader?

yes, the ereader always support better on epub and .mobi files. I currently has the kindle 3 on hand, and i always use the Calibre-Ebook to do the conversion jobs.

So i would suggest the kindle series if u really need a ereader. It works perfect on reading ebooks.
