What is the biggest difference?

Can someone PLEASE explain the difference (in REAL language) between all the tablets out there? Why are some as low as $99 while the iPad is $500? I know some of the screens are bigger and some hold more info, but what else? Also, cn you buy an off brand and still get a good one?

I am honestly not a tablet expert. However, a website I rely on all the time that is really reputable has a page for information on tablets: http://reviews.cnet.com/tablet-buying-guide/?tag=a...

It uses pretty plain language that should not be too much trouble to read for people who aren't into that kind of stuff. I would also recommend checking out their product reviews, since I am guessing you are considering buying one.

I hope this can give you some information.

It all comes down to the apple on the back, you pay premium for a balding man to draw a flat computer and a peasant Chinese man to craft it together. Using my iPad 2 64GB 3G now I understand why the iPad storms ahead of all other tablets. The sheer beauty of it is just outstanding let alone the perfectly smooth performance and beautiful HD screen. The amount of apps and availability of media is outstanding making it appealing to almost every person. Not to mention the prestige of owning such an expensive, snazzy looking product made by a multi award winning company that tops the technology industry.

I work as a private IT specialist and have used almost every tablet and all-in-one's out there and can safely say that nothing compares to apple products.
