PT Cruiser fan draining battery?
We just got a PT Cruiser from an estate, and the fan keeps running after the car is shut off, draining the battery. Is this normal, and if not, what can I do about it? Going to a repair shop isn't in the finances right now.
FYI - The fan runs until the battery is dead. It won't shut off.

need more info how long does fan run after engine is cut off? do you have any warning lights in dash on? if it does go off after just a little bit after truning off car it sounds like this is normal kinda stupid in my opinion but whatever so in that case sounds like just a bad battery that cant hadndle no load and isnt taking much charge from system of you find out this is normal go to your local car parts store and have them load test battery and charging system they usually dont charge nothing for this service more than likley it will be a battery goin bad

It is normal for the fan to run for about 5 minutes after you shut the car off. If the battery is over 3 years old, that should be your first place to test for problems.

no, it's not normal
just turn the fan completely off before turning the engine off.
There is a fuse for the fan, you could remove it
I own a PT Cruiser and it is not norma for the fan to run after you turn off the motor.
