  • With a 4WD truck do you have to replace all tires together, or can you just do the front or the back?

I have been told (by salesmen of course) that you have to get them all replaced at the same time. I have one tire that is showing significant wear. Do I really have to do it that way?

  • What would you say is the worst job you ever had?

I mean the most disgusting, or back breaking job you've had.

    Mine is a toss up between two jobs;

A construction job I worked one summer in high school. I was throwing rocks (basket ball sized rocks) UP a hill to build the dam at a new lake.

Working the stir tank at a pork packing plant. I had to stir the chunks of nastiness that become hot dogs...for 8 to 12 hours a day. I lasted all of three days.

  • Do horses feel pain when being shoed?

My kid asked me this today, and I really have no idea. I'm not really a horse person. She was quite concerned that they get hurt when being shoed.

  • Shouldn't the lawyer recuse himself?

My brother hired a lawyer to deal with our parents' estate after our dad died last year. Now my brother is being sued by the city on an unrelated issue. The problem is that his own lawyer is the same one that the city hired for the suit against him. Isn't that a conflict of interests? I was under the impression that he could not take a case against one of his own clients.

This is in a small rural town, but is only 14 miles from a much bigger town, and 45 miles from the state capitol. They would have been able to find another lawyer with no problem at all.

  • Did I see Conan O'Brian tonight on How I Met Your Mother?

In the scene where they are in the bar and Barney runs out to search for the sex tape, was that Conan standing by the door?

  • Purely hypothetical, but...if absolutely HAD to get rid of a relative?

Something distant, like say a mother-in-law, or a crack head cousin, or maybe a miserable excuse for an uncle, how would you go about it. Let's get creative...and descriptive.

Now remember though, this is purely for the sake of entertainment. Although personal experience counts too.

  • Which way would you rather get a best answer?

Just curious, which way would you rather get a best answer? Chosen by the asker, or voted on? Feeling kind of goofy right now because I've been on this site for quite a while not (this is not my 1st account) and just recently even realized that you could vote on your own answers! Kind of takes the fun out of getting a best answer when you get it by voting for yourself.

    What do you think?

  • So, oh so bored...help me pick a movie today?

Bored out of my gourd. Want to watch a movie, but my library of DVD's isn't doing it for me. I am also sick and don't feel like wandering the local Blockbust like a zombie, so I want to go in there knowing what I want.

    Any suggestions?

  • How much did you earn for your first job?

My first job was sweeping out my uncle's manufacturing shop every weekend. I earned a whopping $10 a day.

  • question about cataracts in the eye?

When you start getting up into your late 40's to early 50's is it fairly common to get cataracts? Both of my parents had them (and removed), and now my older brother just had one removed. He's in his late 40's, and I'm edging right up there too.

Just wondering if it's more of an old age type of thing, or if it's more hereditary?

The truth about Santa Clause? Just wondering how much longer the magic of Christmas will be there for my kids. They already figured out the Tooth Fairy!

  • Was it wrong of me to do this?

So last night I made one of the biggest mistakes of my life; I went to Wal Mart to get some groceries at 9:30ish. Not only did it take me over 1/2 hour to find a parking spot (I HAD to get stuff for breakfast, otherwise I would have stayed home), but once I got in the store I had to wait because the idiots in charge decided that all of the big ticket sale items would be staged in the grocery isles, which meant that until the allotted time for that item, the entire section was roped off. When I got my groceries, and got in line, the fun really started. People kept bumping into me, pushing past me, and basically slamming me into my shopping cart.

Here's where it gets fun...someone slammed into me, and well, let's just say that after a day full of Thanksgiving meals at my house, and the in-laws' house, I was a tad bit full of gas. I truly believe that I have now found the secret to getting in and out of Wally-World in a decent time...eat a can of beans before going in so that you can fart and clear the lanes. Is this wrong, or just a brilliant plan?

  • What's something disgusting that happened to you?

    Just curious....

I was at a party and set my beer down, and some jack-wad put a cigarette out in it when I wasn't looking. Of course I drank it...and promptly urpped all over the place.

  • PT Cruiser fan draining battery?

We just got a PT Cruiser from an estate, and the fan keeps running after the car is shut off, draining the battery. Is this normal, and if not, what can I do about it? Going to a repair shop isn't in the finances right now.

  • I'm confused about the Marine Corps Ball...take a look?

I know that the birthday is November 10...God knows I heard from my parents (both Marines!) that I was always late, being born on Nov. 14th.

My confusion is that I always thought that the Ball took place ON the birthday. Yet with the celebrities getting attention in the press for attending, I heard of different Balls being held on the 12th, and the 18th. What's the deal with that? I mean, I understand it being a Marine Corps holiday and all, but why move it to a Saturday? Celebrate it ON the actual day.

  • What is your worst Birthday memory?

I though that last year would never be topped, as my entire family forgot about my birthday until late in the evening when my wife saw a greeting on facebook. I was wrong! Won't go into the gory details, but suffice it to say a parent's worst nightmare come true this birthday.

Make me feel better...what are your worst birthday memories?
