Cup Driver 5 He had some bad luck. He got caught up in a mess at the Daytona 500 after bein' up front most of the day. I think he was off awhile at some May race(maybe Darlington or Dover?). It seems like it was within 2 weeks of the All-Star race. Had engine issues too. Got knocked to the back over an engine change or DNF'ed due to a blown engine. But he had some good finishes.

Nationwide driver 9 Won the Daytona 500 and Nationwide Texas race. YEEEAAAAHHHHHHHH! Youngest on both counts. Had some other good races as well. Only 3 DNF's in the Cup. He ain't bad, just young and inexperienced. Missed some races due to an illness which may have been Lyme Disease, but was still 11th in points I think. It probably woulda been a top 5 otherwise. I think he woulda been in with Justin Allgaier and Reed Sorensen(sp?) otherwise 'cause they all won one in the Nationwide.

Trucks don't follow too much but it was good to see Austin Dillion was champion

    BQ. Better, I hope.

    Sprint Cup:

Kurt won a couple of races & made the chase again in 2011. He didn't really improve at all over last season so I give him a 5 rating for 2011.

    Nationwide:

Steve Wallace finished 10th in points and had a rough year. I give him a 3 for 2011.

    Trucks:

Parker Kligerman had a decent season running for Brad Keselowski and the #29 Dodge. Not sure right off hand where he finished in the points but it was outside the top 10. I give him a 7 for the year. He made great progress for it being his first full time season in trucks.

BQ: Contending for championships.(I hope) :)

    1) Kasey Kahne Not the best points year but he did win a race with the Red Bull team. Can't wait to see what he does next year with Hendrick.

    2) Carl Edwards 2nd in points and lead the points for much of the year. I hope he wins it all next year.

    3) Tony Stewart Won the Cup! hope he does almost as well next year..

Kenseth: 9.5. He won 3 races and was a contender for the title. He would've been right racing with Tony and Carl in Homestead had he more luck down the stretch.

BQ: 3 more wins, a spot in the chase, and then we'll see what happens. If the Fords continue to be very fast, he can win it all.

Dale Jr did alot better this year than 2009 and 2010. I'll give him an 8 for the 7th place points finish and a substantial improvement

N'wide - Sadler was screwed out of a championship by that loser Jason Leffler. Also giving him an 8 for a great year

    Trucks - 2011 CHAMPION MAN. Giving Austin a 10

    Kahne: 6

If he made the chase, he would have been 3rd in points. That's pretty good.

    Bayne (N'Wide): INC.

Missed 5 races due to lime disease. Have to think he would have challenged Stenhouse otherwise.

    Whitt (Trucks): 5

Really dissapointing after a great start.

BQ:I have to feel after the roll he was on, and being in Hendrick equipment, he should be contending for the Daytona 500 and the championship.

I was disappointed with Denny Hamlin he did so great the year before but completly chocked | 4

Matt Kenseth did quite well if Dickers hadnt taken him out he could have finished even higher in the standings quite an improvement | 7 1/2

BQ| I think Matt will do very well, Denny we will have to see I think he will do better though

I have been a big Labonte fan since the '90's

    (both Terry and Bobby)

but since they can't get a decent ride anymore, I have been rooting for Smoke, since his days with Gibbs. (My favorite years, are when Gibbs used to run the Pontiacs.)

I've been a big fan of Gibbs, going back to his football days.

I have a lot respect for him.

But I can not connect with Kyle at all.

So, Smoke is my guy now, and he and Carl just gave us one of the races ever.

I'm not a Carl hater, he's a good, young driver,

He'll get many more shots at a cup Championship.

And I congratulate him on a very good year too.

Gordo = 8. Great year; crappy chase. His showing in the chase is not a testament to how he ran all year.

    BQ: Eh, about the same.
