    (2*10^-3)(1.25*10^8)

    first find the scientific notations

    10^-3 = 0.001

    10^8 = 100,000,000 so we take

    2*0.001 = 0.002

    1.25*100,000,000 = 125,000,000 then just multiply

    0.002*125,000,000 = 250,000 so the product of

    (2*10^-3)(1.25*10^8) = 250,000
