Would you agree that the majority of immigrant children are more-well behaved than English children?
Okay, now I'm sure there's a lot of you would want to rip me to pieces for even 'dare' suggesting this, but I can't help but get the feeling that this is the case. And I assure you, I'm not an arrogant anti-immigrant flag-waving jingoist, all my friends are immigrants or immigrant descended, my sister has even married a Slovak man and has two children with him (third on the way). Hell, even my wife is from Poland. I'm just asking your opinion on something I've been beginning to notice.
The area I'm from has experienced a heavy influx of Central and Eastern European migration, mostly from the Slavic countries, though there are a few Albanians and Italians as well.
I was on the train this morning, heading to my mum's for my weekly visit and during the whole thing, this little...I mean, this LITTLE, I-think-you-get-the-idea, was running about and screaming at the top of his voice. Hey, I have a son myself and he mucks about sometimes as well, but not as much as this little brat was, and yes, he was English, I CAN tell different accents, it's a bit of a skill of mine. His mother was doing little else than just sit on her seat and tiredly tell her "Jake" to stop again and again in a monotone that would give Ben Stein a run for his money. And when she did, the kid only swore at her and kicked her. If that was my kid, I'd smack 'em. I wouldn't care if there were other people on the train, I'd slap the **** right out of his mouth.
Meanwhile, sitting on the seats opposite me was another mother, her baby in arms and young daughter and to my genuine surprise, both kids were perfectly behaved. The baby was awake, but not at all crying as you would expect. The girl sat still and was perfectly silent with her hands in her lap. I know this does not sound that amazing, but a lot of the other kids, although not as bad as the first, was still fidgeting or playing up to some degree.
When we finally reached the stop to get off, the first screaming kid ran off and when the second quieter kid got up, she took her mothers hand and they exchanged words in a foreign language. Now being around a lot of Eastern Europeans, I've picked up a few words and phrases, and I could tell they were Romanian.
I know a lot of you may think that this was just one case, but I've seen much more around town. European families I know have kids who do not talk back with them, are as good as gold when they go shopping and actually DO the things their parents tell them. Now look, I am not saying that all English kids are the exact opposite, but the majority of those I've seen aren't exactly little angels. A lot of them are okay, but the majority I've met always act like they're on a sugar rush.
I mean, what do you have to say on this topic. Is it just the case where I live, or do most of the East European kids you've met tend to behave more than English ones? I dunno, maybe it's just me.
I can't believ I'm having to add this, but this is in Britain, not the damn USA.

No - kids are kids. Some are little angels, and some are little monsters. And in 30 years involved in education, I've yet to see a racial dimension to it.
I know some delightful Eastern European kids, and some absolutely vile ones. Ditto for Asian kids and British kids.

Actually, there are plenty of English children who are well-behaved and a pleasure to be with. There seems to be a minority of English people who lack parenting skills, and the bad behaviour of their children is very obvious, but you tend not to notice them because they are less noisy.
The parents of badly-behaved children generally lack the ability to do anything with their lives, and it is impossible to imagine them moving to make a new life in another country and learning a new language. So their equivalents in other countries never get to the UK, so the only immigrant parents and children we see are those from better backgrounds.

No, that's not true. The children's behaviour depends on their upbringing.
I met some lovely British kids, who were very polite and well behaved and well educated, and I saw some real trolls. Same goes with East European kids.
I found that children, who have less interaction with their parents, tend to have worse behaviour compared to children who spend quality time with their mum and dad.

I'm British and my two girls behave themselves because they know if they are naughty they WILL be punished my word is final and they know that. I'm not saying they are perfect angles because children are children and don't think like us "grown-ups".
I did spend many years travelling and yes children do behave better in Europe. But remember us parents do not have many rights any more the government have and will continue to take children away from safe environments (yes they have saved many children) it can take years to get them back and some times you are cleared at court but the child has been adopted! Look it up.
I hate telling my girls off but it has to be done because they will grow to be well behaved YOUNG LADIES.
Sometimes I feel like I am the only person that has children that listen so glad I'm not :)

I think you will find it is the children of parents who value manners and behaviour who are better behaved.

LOL. Have you ever been to CA and seen hispanic children? They are raising the next generation of manual labor out there and a "majority' of those kids are near animal already

No, and immigrants seem to expect everything on a plate - we gave them shelter, what more do they want?!

didn't an eastern european mother just scald her child to death in the english midlands recently? maybe that's why they're better behaved huh

No this is wrong. Our prisons are full of immigrants pro rota.Immigrants ignore our laws.An immigrant is 10 times more likely to be unemployed and 10 times more likely to go to prison although they get special treatment because of PC laws.
