If I rot the kindle fire can I?

Hi if I root the kindle fire can I still use the cloud and amazon's prime to watch movies and other stuff? This will be my first root so maybe I wont need to use prime because there will free ways of doing this please let me know. Since this is my first time what are the pro's and con's of me rooting the Kindle Fire. I will be buying it on Monday.

    Danny, after rooting your Kindle Fire, streaming content will not work properly but if you un-root it, the streamin should again work. People do this to side load apps like Android Market and others. The beauty of it is that after you un-root the device, you should still have working side-loaded apps. Of course you know that the Kindle Fire is sold on a first-come, first-served basis. Amazon does run out of popular products.
