    Yes, all this commercialism and craze for buying things we don't even need should stop. Thanksgiving and the days surrounding it should be about being thankful for what you ALREADY have and not having to go out and buy more useless junk.

    thank you! pondering the exceedingly paid company CEO's take exhilaration in 'downsizing' workers (outsourcing) throughout the holiday. 'purchase no longer something Day' could be extra beneficial to 'purchase no longer something in any respect', till Uncle Sam's company government appreciate its a hundred+ years voters. company united statesa. can no longer proceed to exist devoid of clientele (voters) feeding the tummy of the pig. Slowly extra voters are being replaced with the aid of unlawful immigrants who will proceed to feed the tummy. yet, maximum illegals at last do prosper somewhat nicely (can't blame them!).

    I think Black Friday should be renamed as Buy Nothing Day! I have a reason because I don't have much money to spend anyway. Thank goodness I don't live in a country that has something like Black Friday in the calendar...

    Yeah i will go along with you on this one...

    Do what i once did...make out a list of presents to buy for loads of people and then wait 24hrs and go back to the list and throw it in the bin.

    You will get great pleasure and satisfaction from doing just that alone.

    Be like me...keep your money...{accept presents from people if they offer you them...its not your fault if they have bought them for you}

    Wait until "Buy Nothing Day" has passed over and just say you are in the process of saving for the next "Buy Nothing Day"

    Source(s): (Buy nothing day...love that day)

    Me too! I am not going to line up outside some big box store with a bunch of crazed people salivating to buy a cart full of crap that some corporation brainwashed them into thinking they need.
