If we just keep shopping, will that make all these hard times go away?

    Yes,but your hard time of paying debts will come to you sooner than expected.

    Sure, the more people shop, the more stores can sell and probably hire more sales staff. The more they will order from the manufacturers, who may increase their production staff. The extra people hired then join in and start shopping.

    The problem is does the initial group of shoppers have enough funds to get the ball rolling.

    Yes, we can keep shopping but we must also keep working or else we come to zero.

    No its will make it worse, its becuase US spends so much that they now owe soo much money.

    What you need is more investment, this comes from savings which is the opposite of spending.

    Then you can make more stuff more efficiently later on
