incorrect on the 32 bit vs 64 bit, 32 bit can use up to 4gb of memory, but this is all the memory used, ram and memory from your video card... but i would agree that a chip might have failed... do you know how many sticks of ram are in your computer? and also how big each one is... it seems like a 512 mb stick might have failed

The "missing" 250 MB of RAM may be dedicated to graphics, this is something you will want and need if you are using your laptop for gaming. You still have your total 3.24 GB Ram, it's just that your system has allocated some of it specifically to graphics processing in order to get the best performance for games- this is a good thing.

It doesn't matter if you delete the games, when you play the game, and close the window, the game still runs, but you don't see it. If you go to the ctrl + alt + delete, and go under applications, pr something similar you will find your games, still running, and when you select the game, the little button at the bottom of the window will say "end application/process/ etc. Your ram should go up then, ask for help if you don't understand this, I've done it hundreds of times.
