Women's liberation. in the 1950's, so many men had to go to war for WWII that the factories, businesses, and industries had to hire women. up until this point, women had been seen as inferior or weaker, unable to do a "man's" work. at first, they were treated accordingly, and were paid lower wages and given menial tasks. the women fought for equal rights in the workplace, which they were granted because of the lack of male workers. from the, women's liberation exploded as women demanded equal rights in all aspects of life.
