why does my internet randomly loose access?
I have a Toshiba C655 laptop with win7 and my internet randomly disconnects but stays connects. There is a little yellow triangle with a ! in it over top of the singnal strength icon. It says connected no internet access. It gets really annoying, especially when my roommate 5 feet away is using the internet just fine. He has never had an issue with this only my laptop. Internet works fine at my parents or any other connection I have found thus far, only mine at my house. I havn't tried a hard wire connect yet when the issue presents itself but I will the next time it does.
but my roommate has win7 and has never had a problem except when the cable to the house was broke, but then the tv and internet were not working good.

its not really disconnected. it is just not connected to the internet. meaning, no apps are using the internet. I have noticed that also with server 2008 and win7. don't worry, its normal.

If you're anything like me, you have Comcast. As there is no competition for them here, they don't need to provide reliable service. Mine is constantly cutting out.
