On the Google screen it says beta is off then it gives me an option to turn on. What does that mean or do?

Whatever you do DONT turn it on. Beta is a CIA codename for a doomsday device that will destroy the planet. You have been selected to guard this device for the next 25 years then you must pass it on to the seventh son of a virgin widow
