I am looking for a great date night for my husband's 36th birthday in Tucson. Any ideas?
He loves beer, meat and all of the stuff most men do. I'm looking for an activity to entertain us for the afternoon/evening plus a great place for drinks and possibly another great place for dinner. I am not native to the Tucson area and don't know where to begin.

Look for restaurants that are either microbreweries or have great craft beer lists. (Meaning, they go beyond Budweiser, Miller, etc.) It would be even better if they have a good happy hour. One of our favorite restaurants in Bowling Green, OH has a craft beer list and a happy hour from two to six in the afternoon. The appetizers are only $4 and they really don't have beer specials. THey have a $2 beer of the day, though. Usually it's something boring like Budweiser, or Labast; Last Saturday we were there and it was MGD 64. We don't do light beer. (Two times ago it was Ommegang Hennepin and we think it was because they were drying hte keg to make room for something new.) Anyway, I'm digressing.
I'm not sure how to look for the restaurants with craft lists, but for microwbrewery do a search for "tuscon microbreweries" or "tuscon breweries", etc. We also like Maumee Bay Brewery in TOledo. We're not crazy about the food, but the beer is great. (My favorite is the Oatmeal Breakfast Stout.) They have a cafe that is only open from 11-3, but has a great house made black bean burger on a whole wheat bun. HTta is nicely unique in itself.
Anyway, I hope this has been of some help. Perhaps do a restaurnt search for Tuscon and look at the on-line menus.

La Poca Cosa. Fresh ingredients and specials made daily. Always hit that place when I come down from Phoenix.
