Why do so many people believe all conservatives are racist?

Stereotypically that's what they're made out to be. Especially since some figures are associated along with the terms who seem to be very controversial and not exactly what people would consider the brightest bulbs on the shelf. (Rush Limbaugh for example?)

BUT, I'm aware of the fact not all are racist. I've never met a racist person my whole life and I live in a predominantly Republican state (Florida.) Besides, my favorite teacher for AP is a Conservative Republican and is quite a realist, but I love him to death.

It's the fact that most racists tend to be conservatives and not care if their comments offend an entire race or an ethnic group. Fox news really helps further this negative conservative stereotype.
